Be a student for life

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas A. Edison

I am a strong believer that you should never ever stop learning. Why?
First of all, there is so much to learn about and it would just be a complete waste, if we would stop learning when school is over. Knowledge can change who we are and how we see other people and the world.
Secondly, having the mindset to be a student for life, makes everything so much easier. When life gets tough, you will not give up because you are eager to learn from it and see it as a lesson.

But how can we still learn something new when school or university is over and we find ourselves in the middle of a busy life?
Read, listen to podcasts, watch informative and interesting videos on youtube or take an online class. Talk to people and be curious. I also like to read the newspaper to be updated with the latest news.

What subjects are important and what shall I learn?
Honestly, everything you are interested in and everything that might be funny and completly new. We should not only learn something that is directly connected to our career or interests. Sometimes a subject/topic can surprise us and in one way or another, we can use every knowledge we gained.

Keep learning and exploring. There is so much beauty and things out there that need to be discovered and learned from. Stay curious and take any chance life offers you to learn something new. By learning new stuff, you will see that the world will be so much more interesting than you might have thought and also you, as a person, will be seen more and more interesting for others.

“There are some things you can’t learn at any university, except for one, the University of Life… the only college where everyone is a permanent student.” – E.A. Bucchianeri
